This week, I’m in Maryland helping to care for my five month old niece, Claire, so that my sister can meet a work deadline!
Claire & I have been having a grand time playing with her baby gym…
… going out for walks (sometimes several times a day!)…
… sitting up (with just a little help 😉 )…
… and especially swinging in the swings at the park!!
During nap times, I’ve even gotten some knitting time in as well!
I’m making good progress on Kayla’s infinity scarf now (you may remember that I had to rip back and start again a few days ago…)!
I’ve already completed one pattern repeat, and am working on the second!
How fun for you. She is adorable, those little dimples and baby chubbs. The week’s gone by fast! Thank goodness. Allergies have been killin’ me but it’s finally coolin’ down here in the Bay Area.

She is adorable, and just look at that sweet face, always smiling. You want to hug her all the time. I can see that the walks and swing rides were enjoyed a lot.
Great going on the knitting, it is looking good.
Have a good weekend. 🙂

This is my first time reading your blog, but I just had to after seeing “Knitting Auntie” in my Reader. I am also a “knitting auntie”, with an 11-month-old niece who is one of the happiest, most precious babies on the planet. Your niece looks equally as happy and equally as precious.
(And the variegation in your infinity scarf project looks pretty cool as well.)
